METHYL ACETATE 99% – 85%
A clear, colorless, or sometimes yellow liquid, volatile, highly flammable (flash point -10c)
with an ester-like odor (similar to the smell of lacquers or adhesives) of the carboxylate ester
group and it is an aprotic solvent. Its non-polarity reduces the damage caused by the use of
aqueous compounds and prevents corrosion of the equipment. This compound is found
naturally in apples, grapes, bananas and is considered a food flavoring. This compound is
one of the main components of methyl acetone and when used as a solvent, it is used in
combination with acetone and methyl alcohol.

METHYL ACETATE 85%
Methyl acetate is an acetate ester resulting from the formal condensation of acetic
acid with methanol. A low-boiling (57 ℃) colourless, flammable liquid, it is used as a solvent
for many resins and oils. It has a role as a polar aprotic solvent, a fragrance and an EC
3.4.19.3 (pyroglutamyl-peptidase I) inhibitor. It is an acetate ester, a methyl ester and a
volatile organic compound.
